BICESTER Blue Fins 50-strong squad impressed in the pool to become the top visiting club at the Winter Meet in Aylesbury.

It was the final chance for most swimmers to book their places at the Oxfordshire and North Buckinghamshire County finals in the new year.

And the Blue Fins put in some terrific displays to achieve a personal best average of 65 per cent at Aqua Vale.

Leading the way was Joshua Scrivener, ten, who claimed seven new best times as he won six events and was edged out into second in his other race.

Grace Bradney, 14, had a hat-trick of wins, three third places and four personal bests.

Craig Oliver, Blue Fins’ head coach, said: “I am so proud of all our swimmers who competed this weekend.

“We saw some fantastic swims and technical improvements across the board.”
