One family in the quiet village of Ipsden in Wallingford has put in the effort to light up the village this Christmas.

Simon Drew, 27 lives with his mum, Dian Drew, 60. He has learning difficulties and Aspergers and every year he gets into the festive spirit and decorates the house covering it in Christmas lights.

Ms Drew said: “He loves his lights, we’re in a dark village so now we’re all lit up. He does it for the neighbours and the kids in the area.”

She continued: “He loves Christmas, he’s always so hyper, if he’s putting the decorations up he can be up till midnight. He keeps me young.”
