TROUBLED cafe chain Patisserie Valerie appears to have closed its High Street branch in Oxford.
The company’s cafe at Debenhams in Magdalen Street closed in January last year after the national chain collapsed.
The cake chain went into administration, placing more than 3,000 jobs at risk and announced a list of branches due to close.

The branch in Oxford High Street survived last year but this week it did not open and the cafe inside looks like it being dismantled.
A customer said: “The branch of PV on High Street, Oxford appears to have closed down.
"All very sudden - I went there to buy a cake on Saturday afternoon and it was operating as normal.

"It has been closed since Monday and it seems this could be permanent (there is no notice of explanation on the door).”
The High Street branch was saved from closure last year by a management buyout backed by an Irish private equity firm but now appears to have shut.

Ratio cafe in George Street closed last year and has now been replaced by a branch run by national chain Black Sheep Coffee.
