Oxfordshire Mind is taking over Oxford Playhouse on Saturday for an afternoon of comic brilliance to raise money for service to those with mental health problems. Always one of the best days of laughter in the county’s year, it sees two shows. The first at 2.30pm features Hal Cruttenden, Ahir Shah, Nigel Ng, Chelsea Birkby, Alex Farrow and local talent, and organiser, Harry Househam.

An evening performance at 7.30pm will feature Jacob Hawley, Isa Bonachera, Chelsea Birkby, Alex Farrow, Harry Househam and a special guest.

Hal Cruttenden is a fabulous talent and no stranger to the city, where his wry, gentle signature middle class humour never fails to hit its mark.

You may have seen him on Have I Got News For You, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Bake Off: Extra Slice, and Live at the Apollo.

Chelsea Birkby was one of the stars of last year’s gala and could not be more highly recommended – being frankly honest... and, frankly, hilarious!

Ahir Shah and Nigel Ng are also worth a look in for a top class giggle.

Altogether, an unmissable brace of shows.

Try to see at least one.
