A PORTUGUESE man living in Oxford is due to appear in court this morning charged with assault, drink-driving and criminal damage on the same day.
Joao Da Silva, 46, of Oliver Road, Cowley, is accused of going on the minor crime spree on Monday, August 26, last year.
Prosecutors firstly say that he assaulted Paul Markham 'by beating him' in Blackbird Leys Road.

They secondly claim that he was drink-driving on the road, and that a breath test showed he had 52 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the 35mcg legal limit.
Finally they claim that he damaged Mr Markham's door.
Mr Da Silva is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court this morning to answer the charges.
He faces a maximum sentence of a six-month prison term and/ or an unlimited fine for each of the first two charges.
