THIS was the scene at an Oxford playing field yesterday afternoon as dangerous flood waters continued to rise.
Oatlands Road Recreation Ground off Botley Road was entirely under water after rain from Storm Dennis at the weekend percolated through the ground.
Last night the Environment Agency had four flood warnings in place for Oxfordshire, meaning flooding of property was expected and residents should take urgent action to protect their families, homes and pets.

The warnings covered the River Thames from Lechlade to Standlake, through Henley and from Shiplake to Wargrave, and the River Ray at Islip just north of Oxford.
There was also more than 30 amber flood alerts in the county, covering the rest of the River Thames, the Ock in Abingdon and other rivers and streams.
These mean that flooding is possible and people should be prepared.
Several roads around the county were also closed by flood water yesterday.
With more rain overnight, the flooding problems are likely to continue today and tomorrow.
