REFURBISHED shower facilities worth £100,000 were revealed at at the changing rooms of a leisure centre.

Work on the joint project between South Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council started in November after water started pouring from changing areas into an adjacent sports hall at Henley Leisure Centre.

Following months of construction, the changing rooms now boast new wall and floor tiles and environmentally-friendly showers that use 50 per cent less water.

Energy efficient LED lighting has also been installed.
