A MENTAL health campaign will see Oxfordshire schoolchildren trek 1406km – the whole length of Great Britain.

Pupils from Abingdon's Larkmead School Sixth Form will cycle the distance from Land's End to John O'Groats on two exercise bikes in a bid to raise money for the mental health charity Mind.

The teenagers said: "Mental health has become an increasing worry for people of all ages, including ourselves. We want to help raise awareness and money for this charity."

Their Go Fund Me campaign set up last week has raised £530 from the £1,406 target, with 44 donations.

The trek will take place on Monday, March 30, until Friday, April 3.
