THE BetVictor Southern League has extended its season suspension to April 3 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Last Friday, competiton bosses postponed all fixtures up to and including this weekend to help contain the spread of the virus.
But Oxfordshire's five Southern League sides - Banbury United in Premier Central and North Leigh, Thame United, Didcot Town and Wantage Town in Division 1 Central - will now have to wait at least a further two weeks.
It comes after the EFL extended its own season suspension until April 30 yesterday.
The Southern League's committee will meet by conference call on Monday evening and has promised a further statement on Tuesday.
Today's statement said: "The league is aware of the issues faced by clubs and is engaging with the FA on these matters.
"It is anticipated that the league will be able to provide further information and guidance during next week."
