The government has agreed a massive deal with the private sector which means more than 8,000 hospital beds, 700 doctors and 10,000 nurses be added to the number fighting coronavirus.
The deal for NHS England also includes thousands of extra ventilators.
As well as treating coronavirus patients, the extra staff and equipment will be utilised to treat other patients, including cancer patients, and perform urgent operations.
Health secretary Matt Hancock said the deal was 'great news.'
