A SLIP road on the M40 near Bicester has been partially closed, after a lorry overturned and shed its load.

The vehicle had been carrying bricks, which spilled onto the road at Junction 10 (Cherwell Valley Services) this morning.

One of two lanes along the southbound exit slip road, which leads to the services and to the A43 and B430, has been closed.

Oxfordshire County Council said police were on scene.

The closure would normally cause major delays, but due to the lack of drivers on the roads during lockdown, traffic is coping well.

One lane on the roundabout is also closed, according to Highways England.
