A SPECIAL celebration will take place in Abingdon to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe.
Residents of Bowyer Road and Geoffrey Barbour Road have organised a day full of activities for their neighbours to lift their spirits during lockdown.

There will be a live DJ set from 4pm until 9pm tomorrow with the event ending with a traditional singalong of ‘We’ll Meet Again’ by Vera Lynn.
One Abingdon local Jenny Jerrett revealed she has also hired Mini and Mickey Mouse for the day who will be visiting residents’ front gardens where people will be celebrating individually.
