IT is renowned as the definitive list of the richest people in the country – a double-edged sword of glory and shame.

This year's Sunday Times Rich List is topped by vacuum tycoon James Dyson and his family, with their combined fortune of £16.2 billion.

The Hinduja brothers, who came in first place last year thanks to their empire in oil, gas, energy, finance and property, have been bumped down to shaming second place with their meagre £16 billion in the bank.

But how many millionaires from Oxfordshire grace this year's Sunday Times Rich List?

Harry Potter actress and former Headington School girl Emma Watson has held her place in the rankings on the 'Young Rich List'.

Herald Series:

With a fortune of some £52 million, Ms Watson, 30, has kept her position at number 11 on the sub-list, but doesn't place in the main rankings.

The Times says Ms Watson raked in an estimated £17 million from Beauty and the Beast alone, with plenty more of her fortune coming from the famous wizarding franchise.

David and Victoria Beckham, who live in a sprawling estate close to the Soho Farmhouse near Chipping Norton, have ranked 354th on this year's list, with a combined fortune of £370 million.

Business tycoon Sir Leonard Blavatnik, after whom Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government in Jericho is named, is now ranked as the fourth richest person in the UK with £15.781 billion.

Herald Series:

Sir Leonard, who made his first billions in oil and petrochemicals, has fallen down the list since he was in first place in 2015.

Syrian-Saudi billionaire Wafic Saïd, who funded the Said Business School in Frideswide Square and whose family own the Tusmore Park Estate north of Bicester, is ranked 70th in today’s list with £2 billion.

Herald Series:

Britain's youngest billionaire, the Duke of Westminster Hugh Grosvenor, 29, is ranked 10th on this year's rich list with a cool £10.295 billion.

The Duke inherited his wealth on the death of his father in 2016. The family's fortune comes from a vast property empire, largely in London's Mayfair, but with some undisclosed investments in Oxfordshire and other counties around the country.
