POLICE officers travelled more than 100 miles to Oxford armed with guns and Tasers to hunt for a gunman.

Travelling in convoy, more than 10 officers in vans, cars, and undercover Range Rovers stopped what is thought to be a taxi driver in his tracks as he was leaving Saunders Road in Cowley at 3pm yesterday.

It's the ninth arrest Derbyshire Police have made after a gun was fired during a fight on Tuesday, May 12.

Earlier residents on the road described the dramatic scenes of shouting, guns, and Tasers as they watched a driver get 'boxed in' by plain-clothed officers holding guns.
