Your dogs have fun during lockdown: pictures

Now the restrictions have been eased by the government there are plenty of opportunities for families to take their dogs for walks in their favourite park or for a stroll through the Oxfordshire countryside.

Readers on our Facebook page have sent us some pictures of their pets to raise a smile during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Jodie Haining posted a picture of Alfie her four-year-old chocolate Labrador and her daughter Florence, who is almost two.

She said: "Their relationship has grown leaps and bounds since lockdown started as they spend all day, everyday together. It’s beautiful."

Martyn Gardiner's picture shows his dog Storm trying to get a beer at the lockdown bar.

And Ellie Hyatt has posted a picture of Casper, six months old, trying to befriend tortoises.

She wrote: "He tries to befriend the cat, but she’s still not too sure - he has been so amazing helping me deal with my mental health during lockdown!"

Nicky Best posted: "My beautiful girl Luna in our favourite walking spot."

And Lisa Lou Holt said she was also enjoying spending more time at home with her pet.

She said: "This is Lily, we have no idea what breed she is but we’ve discovered some great new places to explore during our daily walks! She follows me everywhere & I’ve loved spending more time with her while working from home."

Hannah Harris added: "Molly has loved us all being at home! With all our commitments in every day life we’re in and our a lot so she is more than happy about lockdown!"

Kirstie Phipps posted a picture of her dog, Reginald in Oxford, while Jenny Kippax sent this image of herself with Sir Archie.

Courtney Bateman said: "Sims has been the new centre of my attention as I haven’t been able to photograph my usual models!"

And Sarah Young has sent in a picture of her dogs, Lexie, Skylar and Simba.
