THOUSANDS of residents in southern Oxfordshire have found their recycling bins unemptied each week because they have put the wrong things in them.
During one week of recycling collections in May there were 3,801 reports of wrong items found in recycling bins in South Oxfordshire and 2,211 reports in Vale of White Horse.

Bin crews have stepped up monitoring in recent months as the lockdown has meant household rubbish has increased.
Incorrect items include food and textiles, but the most common reason binmen refused collection was that trash was packed in black bin bags.
