THE residents in this village were so grateful to the staff at their local shop for keeping them fed during the coronavirus lockdown, they presented them with a certificate.
Steventon parish councillors said they felt the Co-op staff deserved the formal thanks because of all their hard work.
So, on Friday morning, council chairman Chris Wilding presented the shop manager and all his staff with the framed certificate of appreciation.

Parish council clerk Angela Einon said: “The staff have maintained a cheerful and helpful presence during the current pandemic.
“They have kept the village supplied with food, organised deliveries to those in need, and generally kept the community running.
"The village say 'thank you' for the exceptional devotion to duty you have all exhibited.”
The Mid-Counties Cooperative is on Steventon High Street.
