AN OXFORDSHIRE artist was selected for the most prestigious portrait painting competition in the world.
Last year Mark Draisey who is based in Watlington painted an oil portrait of 15-year-old Kitty Tait who, with her father, runs the Orange Bakery in the town.
The impressive painting was selected recently for the BP Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London, and is currently on display in their virtual exhibition due to coronavirus restrictions.

Mr Draisey said: "I am delighted to have been included, but also disheartened that noone will get to see it hanging in the gallery.
"Organisers are still hoping to take the exhibition on tour around the country as they usually do in more normal circumstances."
