Thames Travel has bought six new environmentally-friendly double-decker buses to serve southern Oxfordshire.
The vehicles will operate on route X2 which serves Wallingford, Didcot, Abingdon and Oxford.
The new buses have ultra-low-emission exhausts, which means that each bus emits less than a family car.
The buses are also designed to use so-called micro-hybrid technology to generate electricity from energy that would otherwise be wasted when braking.

This electricity is then stored to help power each vehicle's hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. ADL supplied the six 'Science Transit Shuttle' Thames Travel vehicles in 2019.
