A BRAZEN gang who smashed the window of a Land Rover fled the scene of the crime after the alarm went off.
Now the owner of the car has made a public appeal to trace the would-be thieves.
Ben Marshall, who lives in Grove, took to Facebook to alert other car owners around Kennet Close, where he said the incident happened on Monday at 2.15pm.
In a post on the Wantage & Grove community group, he described the three offenders as white men in a black Volvo V50 Estate.

Mr Marshall shared a registration number for the vehicle online but added: "We have been advised this is likely cloned and therefore has probably changed.
“The suspect that broke the window was a man of large build, quite short, in his 30s.
“He wore a black baseball cap, a dark T-shirt and a pair of light coloured shorts.”
Thames Valley Police confirmed that officers are investigating the criminal damage to the Land Rover.
A spokesperson for the force said yesterday afternoon that no arrests had been made.
Anyone with information about the incident can call 101 quoting crime reference number 43200264667.
