COMMUNITY groups at the forefront of the Covid-19 crisis should receive financial support, Oxford West and Abingdon MP Layla Moran said.
The MP urged the Government to provide support to volunteer groups who have been helping shielded and self-isolating people during lockdown.
Ms Moran, who recently met with volunteers in her constituency, heard some of the challenges of getting food and medicine to people who could not leave the house.

She said the groups should be given financial and operational support to help them reach vulnerable people and added: "These people are selfless and truly acting to help others, and support should be given to help the people leading where the government has failed.
"The government must act now to put support in place so that everyone who needs help gets it.
