Mr Miah has been giving away free meals to NHS staff, police and other key workers from the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
He also donated £500 to food banks in Didcot and Abingdon after the community reimbursed him for a phone that was stolen from the restaurant.
Concerned customers, who set up a fundraising page for the restaurant owner, have already raised more than £500 in less than 24 hours.
Hundreds of well-wishers across Oxfordshire also wished him a 'speedy recovery' and sent him 'positive thoughts'.
