A BURGLAR who ransacked a church volunteers’ office has been spared jail.
Johnathon Dobson, of Millington Road, Wallingford, was convicted of stealing a laptop, two mobile phones and money from Wallingford Methodist Church between April 30 and May 3, 2018.
The 39-year-old also took four blue disabled car badges, stamps, paperwork in relation to bank details, a notepad, three printer cartridges and keys.

He also attempted to steal a music centre, TV and DVD from the building within the same dates and breaching a suspended sentence.
Dobson was handed a community order for one year, which bans him from entering the church
and fined £50, while he must pay compensation of £100, an £85 victim surcharge and court costs of £100.
