The Civic Hall in Didcot has been selected as a suitable venue for the NHS to administer the Covid vaccine.

In a letter from councillor Pam Siggers, chair of the Civic Hall management committee it said: β€œThe finer details of the vaccination programme are still to be confirmed but due to the challenging storage conditions of the medication β€” the NHS will have a finite window in which to administer the doses.”

The main hall and the Northbourne Room will be used by the NHS for the next six to eight months. The council apologised for the inconvenience that this may cause to businesses, but said the NHS is their priority.
