A LOCAL taxi service is helping Oxfordshire businesses and hospitals throughout the third national lockdown.

001 Taxis are looking to partner with local businesses to help provide them with a delivery service over lockdown.

The company has already paired with a number of Oxford-based businesses including Ahmey's Late Night Pharmacy, in Cowley.

It also providing food delivery for local takeaways including, Spring Greens Cafe, in Osney Mead, Cafe Bap, on Abingdon Road, and Connie's Caribbean Grill in Cowley.

The takeaway services will also provide a 10 per cent discount when customers quote ‘001 Delivery’.

001 Taxis will also be donating a small percentage from every delivery booking to the John Radcliffe Hospital to support our NHS Heroes during this time.

001 Taxis are currently looking for more businesses to partner with.

A spokesperson for 001 Taxis said: "We have decided to partner with local Oxfordshire businesses that are struggling their way through the lockdown and remain open for business.

"They are there for you and need your support buying local."

The taxi company is pairing up with local businesses to help deliver to those who are unable to leave their home or want to stay at home.

The companies delivery rates have been discounted so it is more affordable for the public to use.

Orders should be placed with the pharmacy or takeaway restaurant directly, quoting '001 delivery' to apply the discount to the order.

Once the order has been placed and paid for, users then need to call 001 Taxis on 01865 240000 to order a delivery collection.

Alternatively, 001 app can be used to book a collection.
