A takeaway restaurant owner will be making more than 100 meals in memory of Captain Sir Tom Moore.

Hasnath Miah is the owner of Indian Dream takeaway in Didcot and he never misses a chance to help his community and tonight he will be offering free food in memory of Sir Tom, who raised nearly £33 million for the NHS over the first lockdown by doing laps around his Bedfordshire garden.

Mr Miah will be offering free meals to anyone who needs it, this includes NHS staff, people over 67, anyone who cannot afford it and school children.

From the start of the coronavirus pandemic he has been giving away free meals to NHS staff, police, and other key workers.

He also donated £500 to food banks in Didcot and Abingdon after the community reimbursed him for a phone that was stolen from the restaurant.
