A TALENTED illustrator in South Oxfordshire has had his latest children's book published – a 6.5-feet tale about a very long sausage dog called Brian.

Rob Jones, who lives in Abingdon, revealed his new book ‘Where’s Brian’s Bottom’ was published by Pavilion Children’s books and was released on the market in the beginning of February.

Aimed at young, curious children, the board book unfolds to a 6.5-feet tale that tells the story of a sausage dog.

Mr Jones first discovered his love and passion for making books, toys and puppets while studying illustration at The University of Gloucestershire, where he graduated from in 2011.

Since then, he has illustrated a number of children's tales.

His first book, Bernard, even won the People’s Book Prize in 2014.

The illustrator still enjoys making puppets when he can, and has made a number of them for The Story Museum’s annual Christmas production in Oxford.

One reviewer of ‘Where’s Brian’s Bottom’ said: " A delightful, colourful board book.

"Very young children will love this, and older children will have fun laying out Brian and measuring themselves alongside his very long body."
