CORONAVIRUS cases are dropping rapidly across the county but how do cases in South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse compare to the rest of England?

See the full list below

The figures, for the seven days to February 20, are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two).

The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.

More recent days are excluded as they are likely to be incomplete.

Last month Oxford was one of the worst-hit areas in the county, sitting in 169th position on the list of 315 local areas.

However, the rate of infection has dropped significantly to 100.4 from 153 cases, no change from the week before.

The place with the most Covid-19 infections in Oxfordshire is now Cherwell, which is only ranked in position 153.

The area saw a rise in cases from 123 to 161 in one week - changing the rate of infection from 81.7 to 107.

Other parts of the county remain low on the list with South Oxfordshire in 274th based on a rate of 64.8 from 92 cases, down from 95 cases the week before.

The Vale of White Horse isn't far behind at 263 position. That's based on a rate of 59.6 from 81 new cases, down from 10 the week before.

West Oxfordshire has one of the lowest infection rates in England, sitting at place 301 of 315. This is from a dropped rate of 39.8 from 44 cases, down from 59.

From left to right, it reads: name of local authority; rate of new cases in the seven days to February 20; number (in brackets) of new cases recorded in the seven days to February 20; rate of new cases in the seven days to February 13; number (in brackets) of new cases recorded in the seven days to February 13.
