When the current owners bought The Star Inn nearly ten years ago, the place was 'tired' and 'rundown'.

After the much-needed tender loving care and a major business drive, trade took off for them.

However, the owners are not looking to sell the business and retire.

Constructed of a mixture of brick and stone beneath a stone slate roof, the pub is believed to have been built in roughly 1720, and as far as the vendors are aware it has always been a pub.

A detached existing barn was converted in the early 1990s to provide an accommodation block, which has rooms on ground and first floors, and while the ground floor construction mirrors the pub, the first floor is timber clad.
