A PRIVATE school has announced a new state-of-the-art infant school building with solar panels and a green roof.
Moulsford Prep School in Wallingford will start building the new infant school in May 2021. The new section of the school will be used by Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
The infant school will be for boys and girls who have turned three years old.
Moulsford Prep School has said there are no plans for any other year groups in the school to be co-educational.

The building has been carefully planned by the school architect to incorporate eco-friendly systems such as solar panels and air source heat pumps to provide underfloor heating, and there will be natural ventilation through roof turrets.
Green roofs will cover flat roof areas, and extensive planting and landscaping with wild flower meadows will enhance the external areas. The traditional black painted wood-framed structure with a pitch-tiled roof is in keeping with the Chiltern farmyard barn style of the surrounding area.
