The biggest Japanese knotweed hotpots have been revealed to be Botley and Cowley.

The UK's most invasive plant has entered its spring growth phase and Japanese knotweed expert Environet have revealed the latest hotspots using data from its interactive online tracker.

The plant can push up through cracks in concrete, driveways, patios, paths, drains and even the cavity walls of homes, and as a result reduce a property’s value by 10 per cent and make it difficult to sell.

Botley had the most infestations this year with 18 found in a 4km radius. Cowley had 15 infestations, Woodstock and South Stoke has six and Kidlington was found to have five.
