A MEDIEVAL jousting event with horseback stunts and 15th century black powder weapon displays will be held at one of Britain’s oldest family-owned stately homes.

Stonor Park, in Henley is welcoming people to join the Knights of Royal England for an epic display of medieval jousting for their annual event.

The memorable joust will see knights in full armour stopping at nothing, charging full tilt on horses in an attempt to strike their opponent’s shield and knock them out of their saddle. There will also be falconry displays, 15th century weapon displays, Agincourt History Theatre and archery, with medieval costume competitions and plenty of food and drink.

The mysterious world of Tumblestone Hollow adventure playground, will also be open throughout the tournament.

The jousting event will be hosted on May 22 and 23 from 10am to 5pm each day.
