Councillors say they have been forced to choose between voting and public health, as in person council meetings return.

Government inaction led to the expiration of the Coronavirus Emergency legislation six weeks before social distancing is due to end.

In protest on Tuesday only a minimum number of Liberal Democrat Councillors attended the first in-person full council meeting of the Vale of White Horse District Council.

Councillor Max Thompson, said: β€œIt’s absurd that councillors are forced to make the decision between their health and formally representing their communities.”
