World Chocolate Day was celebrated with tasty treats at Barchester’s Waterside Court care home in Wallingford.
On what was possibly one of the best days of the year for chocolate lovers, staff and residents at the care home started the day with a delicious chocolate milkshake competition.
They were followed by more sweet treats including a cake decorated with chocolate icing and fresh strawberries.
Residents were then treated to a selection of fluffy marshmallows and strawberries coated in different types of melted chocolate.
General manager Lorraine Ball said: “It wasn’t just the residents that were excited when we found out there was a World Chocolate Day, the eyes of all our staff lit up too.
"We all had great fun discussing our favourite types of chocolate down the years, it’s amazing how many different chocolate bars and flavours there have been.”
