Oxfordshire native Sharon Gaffka has been dumped from the Love Island villa, after a recoupling last night.

The 25-year-old civil servant from Didcot was dumped from the villa when newcomers AJ Bunker and Danny Bibby chose who they wanted to couple up with.

During the recoupling AJ paired with Hugo Hammond and Danny chose Lucinda Strafford.

She said: “We all took a plunge when we came here.

“Love was never guaranteed and it never will be, but I’m glad that I took that plunge.

“I’m still on that hunt for love, for that someone special who can handle my fire and make me a happy woman.”

Following the dumping fellow contestant Kaz Kamwi said: “I’m heartbroken because I know she was genuinely looking to meet someone new.”

Faye Winter added: “I’m just going to miss everything about Sharon.”

Sharon, who is Miss International UK 2018, most recently worked as a contracted operations lead for the Department for Transport before leaving to join the ITV reality show.

Here are some of Sharon’s highlights:

Sharon was one of the first contestants to enter the villa this year.

She first coupled up with Hugo before romance bloomed with events host Aaron Francis, coupling up with him on day 5.

However, Aaron soon called it quits on their relationship after a row took place between Sharon and Hugo, in which Aaron criticised her 'fiery' response.

It was not long before Sharon turned her attentions back on Hugo but he was clear he only saw her as a friend.

Fans were sad to see her go:

Upon her departure, Sharon's Instagram account thanked fans for 'all the love sent for our girl'.

It added: "We can’t wait to have her home."

One fan commented: "So proud of her honestly her time was cut short but loved seeing her on my screen."

Another added she was one of their 'favourite islanders'.

They said: "I was hoping that you would really find someone in the villa."

A third commented: "Definitely gonna miss her, she was one of my favorites."
