A FARM is growing huge sunflowers to give people the opportunity to pick them and give a donation to Helen and Douglas House children’s hospice in Oxford.

High Lodge Farm based at Culham, near Abingdon will be opening its gates from Sunday, August 8 for two weeks.

There will be no entry fee to pick sunflowers but each sunflower will cost £1 and visitors can fill a wildflower bag for £5.

There will be tea, coffee, cake and ice cream on sale from their new trailer The Toot.

Helen and Douglas House children’s hospice in Oxford provides hospice and palliative care to babies, children, and young people.

The hospice needs to raise £3.4 million each year to care for local terminally ill children at the hospice and at home.
