A collection of food vendors constructed entirely of converted shipping containers are set to open in a science park.

DiSH will be launching at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus next week.

Better known for its scientific breakthroughs and technological innovation, Harwell Campus will now play host to DiSH - a mix of independent cafes, bars and eateries which are usually found in big city locations like Oxford or London but are now heading to this unique destination.

People will be able to grab a wide selection of dishes from Indian cuisine, cocktails, coffee, pastries, burgers and vegan food.

Stuart Grant, chief executive of Harwell Campus said: “We’re delighted to be able to improve the facilities and amenities on the campus, not only for the people who work at Harwell but for Oxfordshire residents and visitors too. We want DiSH to be a meeting point where people can get together, have a good catch up and enjoy amazing food and drink.”

Thibault Bouquet de Jolinière, development director, DiSH added: “We’re so excited to be unveiling DiSH and welcoming guests to everything it will have to offer. This has been such an inspiring project to work on, bringing the best of street food into the rather unconventional setting that are - shipping containers! We cannot wait to introduce you to our array of six food vendors, bringing flavours, vibrance, and a great atmosphere to the amazing place that is Harwell Campus.”
