PATROLS have increased following a recent spate of thefts from golf clubs.
Thames Valley Police South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse reported that its Faringdon neighbourhood policing team has increased patrols in the Shrivenham area.
This is due to a ‘recent spate of thefts from golf clubs’ including garden machinery and tools, which have reportedly been stolen.
There has been a golf course on the site of Shrivenham Park Golf Club since 1966, with the full 18 hols completed in 1969.
In May of that year, the course was opened by former Open Champion Max Faulkner and Ryder Cup golfer Brian Barnes.
