It has been six months since the disappearance of Doug Carroll and police officers have released new images as they continue the search.

The last confirmed sighting of Mr Carroll was in Tunbridge Wells, Kent on Tuesday April 20, before travelling to the Reading area.

Mr Carroll's car was seen near the Ridgeway at Compton in West Berkshire near Oxfordshire on April 21, but he has not been seen by anybody.

Police are now releasing new images of Mr Carroll and his car and asking the public to contact the force if they believe that they saw the car, or Mr Carroll, at the Ridgeway on or around April 21.

He is described as around 6ft 3ins tall, of slim build with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded top, a black t-shirt, black Ellesse jogging bottoms and black Vans trainers.

He was also carrying with him a black Poker Stars rucksack and is believed to have had black sunglasses with him.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Jon Shaw, of Abingdon CID, said: “It has now been six months since Doug was last seen, and naturally, his family and his partner are very distressed at his disappearance, that was completely out of character for him."

He added: “We had a possible sighting reported of Doug leaving his car on foot in the general direction of Aldworth, but there have been no confirmed sightings of him."
