A MAN has been fined thousands of pounds after he hosted a gathering during lockdown.
Martin Richard Cox, 49, of Couldrey Close in Abingdon, appeared in the dock of Oxford Magistrates' Court on August 6, 2021.
He was fined £1,760 for hosting an indoors gathering during the third lockdown in February at his home in Abingdon.

The courts say the gathering consisted of two or more people which broke tier four Covid restriction rules.
Cox was ordered to pay a total of £2,026 by September 3, 2021. He was fined £1,760, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £176 and had to pay costs of £90.
