The florists had decorated their shop window for the Christmas season, but were shocked to find it had been shattered on December 11.

After looking at their CCTV footage, they discovered it had been smashed by a group of fighting men in the early hours of the morning.

Jacque said: "Wallingford is wonderful, there's so many people offering to help - it's just so lovely. But unfortuantely a few people went to the pub next door and then decided to have a fight out on the street.

"We saw the CCTV, watching them have a fight and the traffic having to stop because they were fighting in the street, and then one of them threw the other into the window.

"Unfortunately our window was completely shattered. We're so busy at the moment and obviously it's one of our peak times so we could've done without this happening."

Jacque had a toy train set in the window as part of her Christmas decorations themed around the Polar Express.

The large window was laminated toughened glass and cost more than £1,000 to replace.

The mother and dughter duo are grateful for 'superheroes' Wallingford Glass and Glazing who came to the rescue and replaced the window this morning.

Despite the incident, the pair have been busy all month with Christmas deliveries and orders and even won their local shop window decorating competition.

Jacque added: "We started selling wreathes on the 1st and made about 150 which all sold a couple of weeks ago. Now this week we've got about 60-100 deliveries a day going out. We've got 3-4 drivers on the road."

The police has been contacted.
