A woman had her rucksack ripped off her back by a robber. 

The victim, a woman in her fifties, was walking down Wasties Lane in Eynsham at 6:45am last Monday, January 17 when she was approached from behind by the offender.

The offender ripped her rucksack from her grasp before heading in the direction of Station Lane.

Items that were stolen that were in the rucksack included the victim’s purse.

The offender is described as 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing a black hooded top, baseball cap, snood, bottoms and dirty white trainers.

Thames Valley Police are now appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Eynsham.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Paddy O’Grady, based at Witney police station, said:” “We are appealing for witness who were in the area at the time to come forward.

“You also can make a report to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and remain 100 per cent anonymous.”
