Construction of new offices at a science park could soon start if its site passes a contamination test.
If it passes a land contamination survey, the new development at the Culham Science Centre, between Abingdon and Didcot, would see new offices for the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) management and operations team.
The outline application for this project was approved in 2016.

It will accommodate a number of structures, including four, three to four-storey offices; two multi-storey car parks and a new single storey gatehouse with conference centre.
The proposed redevelopment of the site will cover 9,000 sq metres, in two or three phases, according to the application.
The project was approved by South Oxfordshire District Council pending certain conditions to ensure that risks from contamination are minimised.
