A tornado has been spotted in the Oxfordshire countryside.
The photograph was taken by a person, who does not wish to be named, that was out for a walk on White Horse hill, near Uffington.
The image shows the grey vapour of the tornado swirling across the countryside.
The anonymous photographer said the tornado was over “quite quickly” but felt the “strong winds” from it where they were stood.
This freak moment comes as the weather in the county has flipped from above average sunshine to snow in a matter of days.
The UK is estimated to experience around 30 to 50 tornados each year.
Scientifically speaking, a tornado is defined as a rotating column of air which has contact with both the Earth’s surface and the clouds.
