A MOTORCYCLE event is set to return after more than 20 years – with a couple of Oxford Speedway faces due to appear.

On May 1, the newly-formed Dalton Grasstrack Club is hosting the Barracks Bonanza at Dalton Barracks track, near Abingdon.

For many years, the North Berks Club held annual events there, prior to the last one back in 2001.

Three classes will do battle: the 500cc solos, upright solos and 1,000cc sidecars.

Among the 500cc solos will be Oxford Chargers riders Nathan Stoneman and Arran Butcher.

Entry is £18 for adults, with children aged 16 and under gaining free entry.

Free camping is available on site after 3pm on April 30.

Practice starts at 10.15am with the first race due at 12.30pm.

The entrance gate for the event is off Honeybottom Lane, Dry Sandford, Abingdon, OX13 6BX.
