A 92-year-old man has reignited is love of golf after a carer went the extra mile to help.

Care supervisor Danielle Young and manager Kam Gill from the Walfich care team in Wantage organised a gold session with Brian Marlow, 92.

Mr Marlow often reminisced about playing golf with his wife who now has dementia and can’t play, so Ms Young took Mr Marlow to the golf driving range in Blewbury, near Didcot.

Mr Marlow said: “I hadn’t played for six years so I was a bit stiff at first, but it was great to be back swinging a club again.

"It was marvellous to feel that Kam and Danielle wanted to support me in this, and that Danielle was willing to learn from me.”
