A guest at the Premier Inn was found dead on Saturday after they did not check out on time.

Emergency services were seen at the Milton Interchange near Didcot for about seven hours on Saturday (21) wearing HAZMAT suits and breathing equipment. 

Staff at the hotel have offered their condolences and said their thoughts are with the guest’s family.

The Premier Inn in Didcot said: “Unfortunately, a guest was discovered deceased this weekend when they failed to check out on time.

“The emergency services were called, and our team worked to assist them as necessary.

“Our thoughts are with the guest’s loved ones at this very sad time.”

Thames Valley Police said it is investigating the death which is “unexplained and non-suspicious”.
