A little girl who found a crochet snake which was stolen, has been gifted her own mini serpent by the artist who created it.
The woolly reptile was created by anonymous yarnbomber Crochet Kindness by R and installed near the junction of Worcester Drive and Sandringham Road in Didcot.
The artist creates large pieces to install around the area and bring joy to locals.

At the time, the artist told the Oxford Mail that the theft had made them “really sad” because they create the pieces to "make people smile" and not for any financial benefit.
They launched a social media campaign to find the snake and week on from the theft, the missing serpent was located by seven year old Alexys Redford. READ MORE about this here>>>
The stolen snake was found in a bush in Regent Gardens.
As a thank you for finding the snake, and because Alexys took a ‘liking’ to the serpent, the artist created a mini-crochet creature for her.
Alexys has named the her new toy snake Layla, not for any reason other than the fact she “really likes” the name.
The artist has since shared pictures of Alexys with her new friend, modelling moves she learned at an APA Angels dance.
