Police are hunting a man after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted on the way to school.

The incident took place on May 25 between 8.30am and 8.35am near Queensway and Newlands Avenue in Didcot.

During the incident, a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man in his late 40s or early 50s.

The suspect is described as a white man with short grey hair, no facial hair and glasses.

He is around 5ft 10in in height, of average build and a ‘little bit chubby’.

The man was wearing a white Tottenham football shirt, blue jeans and holding a can of beer in his hand.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have information about the assault.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “We would like to reassure the community that they shouldn't be alarmed but continue to remain vigilant.

“We are appealing for anyone who has seen or know anything in relation to the incident. If you have any information or witnessed the incident please call 101 and quote reference: 43220227210.”
