THE University of Oxford is welcoming thousands of prospective students to visit its colleges and departments over two days.

The event, which is taking place today (June 29) and tomorrow, will be held in person first the first time since 2019.

Students interested in applying to Oxford will have the opportunity to find out more about the undergraduate courses available, meet current students, talk to tutors, tour colleges and get a taste of what to expect from the university experience.

Colleges, departments, university museums and library facilities will be open, offering talks and drop-in sessions.

Dr Samina Khan, director of undergraduate admissions and outreach at the university, said: “The open days are an important part of the decision-making process for students and their families, and we hope that they leave with a real sense of all Oxford has to offer, from the diverse range of academic subjects available to the unique collegiate environment.”

A similar event will take place on Friday September 16.
